We as a collective are realizing the importance of our emotional and mental health. We are worried, full of anxiety and distrusting when it comes to life. We don't know what tomorrow may bring. In a culture that is heavily fixated on tangible things, the intangible becomes seen as useless. We are constantly devaluing the ''unknowable'' the ''unseeable'' and the source of all life the ''unknown.''

Life began in darkness and darkness is what we will return to. We are created in the dark. We were first fed in the dark. We first became human in the dark. Your mother's womb was in complete darkness yet that kept you safe and developing. The problem is we became separated from the unknown once we became familiar with life outside the womb.

''When action is pure and selfless, everything settles into its own perfect place.'' (Dyer., page 14). A lot of our actions are fear-based and are often there to mask our insecurities. It is rare for humans to act with pure intentions. Because we don't trust ourselves we end up not trusting life. The secret to everything is connecting with and trusting the unknown. We have to value where we come from to value the unseen and all the work it does to keep us alive.

''The Tao is working for and with you.'' (Dyer., page 17).  The unseen is always working with and for us. We are an important component of the creations that occur in our lives. We are co-creators. The unseen can only help us at the level we allow ourselves to be helped. We cannot outperform our self-esteem and level of deserve-ability.

To instill faith in our lives always remember this passage.
''Trust the harmony of the Tao. It took care of everything that you needed in your creation as well as your first nine months of life without any assistance from you.'' (Dyer., page 17).

We live in a world where each individual is trying to get their needs and wants to be met often at the expense of others. In such a mindset the individual is only concerned about the self. Everything and everyone revolves around the self getting what the self wants and needs. The problem is we are a interdependent species. We don't exist solely on our own. We co-exist and co-creator with all life forms on earth.

The approach of the Tao is one of service. Instead of asking people what you need and want right away. Maybe for once ask, How may I serve you? By serving others you end up serving yourself. Because if you look out for the needs of others the Tao will take great care of you. We must become the sage in our own lives to achieve that balance within.

''The sage governs by emptying minds and hearts, by weakening ambitions and strengthening bones.'' (Dyer., page 14). We cannot be dominated by ambitions to the point that we lose focus of the bigger picture. Everything we do should make the planet and the lives of other beings peaceful. We are here to add peace, balance and love into our world and in the lives of others.

The ''practice of gratitude is what leads us to the contented life.'' (Dyer., page 15). Each day we have to be grateful for our lives and the blessings that are around us day and night. By being present and grateful at the moment we can, ''allow what's within to come forward.'' (Dyer., page 16). And what's within is the spirit that is intuned with all life forms.

The majority of us live in environments that stress and value the work that is seen. The intangible part of you that is always working to keep you alive is often taken for granted and not valued enough. Only in dire situations do we appreciate our hearts, lungs and blood that work effortlessly without our input, validation or control. Life is the balance of being and non-being. We are not just the sums of our actions and the external factors. We are a whole and a part of greater intelligence.

''Being and nonbeing produce each other.'' (Dyer., page 8)

We have to value the intangible that is always working on keeping us alive. If such power exists to keep us alive then why do we worry about the rest of our lives? If we can't control our heartbeats why do we think we can control the events of life? We have to trust the life that is trying to flow effortlessly without our interruptions and predetermine ideas of how things should be.

''Act without effort and teach without words.'' (Dyer., page 8)

Live from within. Let your actions be guided by the truth of who you are. Teach by being. Many people talk and don't practice what they preach. If we live in harmony with our values. Then we don't have to talk about our values. Our values will be seen and showcased in the way we choose to live. What we eat, wear, and support will be speak more than our words.

''Nurturing things without possessing them.'' (Dyer., page 8)

Love without control. People are gifts to us and not our mere possessions to be purchased and refunded when it's convenient. People are given the freedom to choose and to exercise their own truth in this life. We are simply co-creators and not dictators of no one. Our job is to refine our characters and habits and allow others to do the same. People's decisions are never about us but about needing and fulfilling their own needs and wants.

''Live without judgement and in perfect oneness.'' (Dyer., page 10)

In conclusion, you are part of life and you are life's greatest creation manifested in the flesh. You are a co-creator in a universe full of creation. We are here to be the people we choose to be. Choose authenticity, freedom and truth over the mundane and the expected.
